Should people found innocent of child abuse allegations still be place on the state listing as a abuser?

A person is violated as a child, by some parent. After twenty years, the person decides to marry; and, an identity search of the registry reveals the parent's name. The issue(s) having been counseled; would you (as that person) want to look back?
