What is a creative sound/noise that has changed society?

For science we have to do a project called A sound So Profound. basically we have to find a sound (it can be a noise, quote, song, saying, just anything that we can hear) and do a project in which we tell how the sound has effected/changed society. my teacher has done this for 6 years so she has heard a lot of creative ideas. i want mine to really stand out! so if anyone can think of a sound, that's be great. and if your still confused: some sounds used in the past are MLK jr's i have dream speech and how it changed racial discrimination. or an EKG flatlinging has for years been a sound of no more hope... or how specific instruments have changed the course of music. understand now? please help! :D
