TAINTED LOVE: Agree or Disagree?

Well, when I was younger I didn't understand the difference between living together and being married except for a piece of paper. I've lived with my boyfriend (temporarily from the start) and we're talking about getting married some day. Marriage is an emotional commitment, just not a way of living. Now days marriage is looked at as some minor commitment. Him and I both agree that when we get married, it's forever and we'll do anything to make sure that happens. I think people get married for the wrong reasons or expect something unrealistic from it. I think people who live together and then get married have high divorce rates because their relationship starts to get rocky and they think getting married will fix everything when it doesn't. The important part is to be well prepare for a serious relationship and to be willing to WORK for it. I'm pretty old fashioned in that I want to get married, have that perfect little house, babies, and a great career. I can understand, though, how todays society can ruin a person on marriage or serious relationships....
