Hmm he is probably those y guys that want to look tough in front of other people, he probably somewhat likes you but he sounds kind of shallow and immature, i mean what kind of guy changes personalities in between cles? Just ask him up front about it like during study hall say "Why are you such a jerk to me in science?", and depending on his answer you should decide whether to pursue him or not.
