Facebook Privacy Question?

It seemed to switch on me without my approval!? ... I like to WRITE on people's pages and then it shows up on the wall!? I don't want everyone and there mother to see what I said to my girlfriend? Mucho points to whoever can figure out how to block my WRITINGS from showing up on the wall. I still want my links to show up just not what I WRITE. Thanks.
